I was recently appointed as a postdoctoral fellow at UBC with the Assessment for Learning in Immersive Virtual Environments (ALIVE) research lab. I am excited to work with Dr. Jillianne Code while we explore how students respond to feedback provided in a 3D immersive virtual Environment (3DIVE). This 3D experience has students exploring the results of a die off in blackbirds in a small community through science based inquiry. While connecting with STEM education, I will be able to understand more about learner agency by how individuals select, frame, choose, and execute actions to achieve an outcome (Martin, et al., 2003).
